Ray Park & Jon Chu Talk G.I. Joe 3 & Star Wars VII
In celebration of today's release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation on Blu-ray and DVD, ETonline caught up with director Jon M. Chu and Snake Eyes himself, Ray Park, at the Martial Arts History Museum in Burbank, CA, to talk about the making of the movie, playing with G.I. Joe action figures as kids, and maybe siphon out a few details about the upcoming G.I. Joe 3 -- and Star Wars VII!

"We're deep in the cave coming up with some fun ideas," says Jon about the next G.I. Joe adventure that's in development. "It's been fun being on Twitter and on Facebook and all those things, reading people's comments and what they want, what characters they want to see, how we take it to the next level, so we've got some tricks up our sleeves."
As for the upcoming Star Wars VII, no casting announcements have been made yet, but could there be a possibility that we'll see Ray as the great-grandson of Darth Maul seeking revenge on the big screen? "I'd do it in a heartbeat," says Ray about reprising the role that put him on the cinematic map. "I've always said if I was asked to do it with the tattooed body and shirtless, I'd be there."
In G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Ray joins Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum in a story that finds the Joes not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra, but forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. Is the President of the United States real, or an impostor? The film also co-stars D.J. Cotrona, Adrianne Palicki, Byung-hun Lee, Jonathan Pryce and Ray Stevenson.
"It was scary; coming into it, it was definitely intimidating," says Jon, whose previous credits included the dance-and-music-centric films Justin Bieber: Never Say Never and Step Up 2: The Streets. "You're working with some of the best people in the world, but at the same time, Paramount and all [the producers], they equipped me with the best crew you could ever ask for, the best cast you could ever ask for. You rarely get a sort of dream cast and crew. ... They gave me all those things that I needed and I learned a ton working with them, and we got to just riff off of each other, which was really fun."
