Exclusive 'STID' Clip: Chris Pine Fears Prosthetic

Chris Pine may play the bold "Captain James T. Kirk" in Star Trek Into Darkness, but as we see in a DVD bonus feature obtained exclusively by ET, he wasn't always so courageous on set.

In the behind-the-scenes clip of Pine's bedroom scene with a pair of catlike women from another planet, a prosthetic tail was used by one of the actresses, which Pine doesn't appear to be too fond of.

"It does all sorts of little tickling and cute little sexy things to Chris, who I found out is incredibly afraid of spiders, so he hates this thing," makeup artist Heather Langenkamp says.

The Star Trek Into Darkness Blu-ray/DVD, which will be released shortly, is replete with behind-the-scenes features, like the featured clip, that reveal how director J.J. Abrams and crew put together the sci-fi action film.
