Kid reporter Lauren Kaplan was joined by Modern Family star Rico Rodriguez at the big premiere of The Wizard of Oz in IMAX 3D at the new TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood, and they also got to interview one of the original remaining munchkins, Ruth Duccini! From those scary flying monkeys and that fearsome green witch to Dorothy's ruby slippers and the beuatiful melody of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, stars proclaiming their love for the classic movie, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, included Marcia Gay Harden, Tia Carrere, Sierra McCormick, William Shatner, Drew Carey, Molly Ringwald, Kevin Sorbo and many more.

Sunday marked the first time ever that The Wizard of Oz has been shown in IMAX 3D, and it also was the perfect film for the grand opening of the new TCL Chinese Theatres. Other events of the day included the unveiling of the Judy Garland as Dorothy wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, with the colorful characters of The Wizard of Oz in attendance; plus a Candy Station with Incr-Edible Cupcakes courtesy of Dylan's Candy Bar; a look at the upcoming The Wizard of Oz nail polish collection from Julep; an Oz Emporium from Café Press; The Wizard of Oz pinball by Jersey Jack Pinball; Wizard of Oz-themed craft kits for children by Darice; and an Oz art wall produced by the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity.

Starting on Friday, September 20, The Wizard of Oz in IMAX 3D will enjoy a one week run in 300 IMAX theaters throughout the U.S., and then everyone will be able to see it on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, Digital and DVD October 1.
