In theaters Christmas Day, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty stars Stiller (who also directs) as the ordinary, average Joe of James Thurber's classic New Yorker story who consistently daydreams to escape his mundane, anonymous life. Disappearing into a fantasy world filled with heroism, romance and action, can Walter turn his dreams into reality when his job is threatened?

First made into a film in 1947 starring Danny Kaye, the new Walter Mitty co-stars Shirley MacLaine, Kathryn Hahn and Sean Penn – gesturing to Walter to join him on his next philanthropic adventure.
