First Look: Ben Affleck in Fincher's 'Gone Girl'
The highly anticipated Gone Girl book-turned-movie finally revealed a first look at Ben Affleck in the coveted lead role.
The film's studio 20th Century Fox tweeted a movie still from the upcoming drama thriller, showing Affleck as Nick Dunne, the husband to a missing woman. Gone Girl is adapted from the wildly popular novel of the same name by author Gillian Flynn. Affleck's character becomes a murder suspect after his wife, played by Rosamund Pike (Pride & Prejudice), goes mysteriously missing.

The film is headed up by acclaimed auteur David Fincher, whose work includes Fight Club, The Social Network, and another popular book-turned-movie, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Fincher also worked with Flynn on the screenplay.
