Kristen Stewart Out of 'Snow White and the Huntsman 2' (Report)

Though Kristen Stewart previously confirmed that there would indeed be a Snow White and the Huntsman sequel and that she was "excited" about it, according to The Wrap, the Twilight star is not expected to return as the female lead.

According to The Wrap, Walking Dead creator Frank Darabont is in talks to direct Snow White and the Huntsman 2, which is expected to emphasize Chris Hemsworth's role as the Huntsman. If Stewart does return, it would most likely be "limited to a cameo" or a "handful of brief scenes."

However, Charlize Theron is expected to reprise her role as the evil queen.

"Oh, it's gonna be f***in' amazing. No, I'm so excited about it, it's crazy," Stewart told Indiewireabout the sequel in December 2012.

"Oh my God. F***, yeah. Absolutely," she added about there being total justification for a sequel. "And we've got a really amazing … [smiles] So, yeah. It's all good. [laughs]"

Snow White and the Huntsman grossed nearly $400 million worldwide. The sequel is set to hit theaters in 2016.
