'Gone Girl' Presents the Evidence In New Cryptic Posters

Gone Girl
is showing us the evidence of murder in this new series of cryptic posters released Saturday.

In the upcoming thriller Gone Girl, Ben Affleck stars as Nick Dunne, a loving husband who, after his wife goes missing, finds himself to be the main person of interest in the investigation and is thrust into the middle of a media frenzy surrounding the case.

A note predicting death, a bloody scalpel blade, a pair of red lacy underwear and a wedding photo are all pieces of the puzzling mystery behind Gone Girl.

The film, based off the wildly successful novel of the same name by acclaimed author Gillian Flynn, asks one question: Did Nick Dunne murder his wife?


Fight Club
and Zodiac helmer David Fincher, who also directed the book-turned-movied The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, is lending his distinctive style to the thriller, while Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris co-star alongside Affleck.

is scheduled for release on October 3, 2014.
