As if we need another reason to love Chris Pratt! The Guardians of the Galaxy star surprised a group of young fans at a charity screening of the upcoming Marvel flick, sponsored by New York Daily News and Disney Studios.

In the clip, the 35-year-old actor emerges from the theater to the squeals of an estimated 250 children and their families who were thrilled to see Star-Lord in the flesh.

Pratt stayed long after the surprise appearance to take photos with anyone who wanted a selfie with him. But before leaving, the star stuck around to impart some inspiring words to the kids, many who come from underprivileged backgrounds.

"Take it from a kid who grew up having no money," he said. "If you stick to your path, and you believe in yourself and you be courageous enough to be yourself you can grow up, you can be your own Star-Lord."

What a guy! The rest of us will have to wait to catch Chris and the rest of the Guardians when the film hits theaters Friday.
