Ben Affleck is letting it all hang out for his new 'Gone Girl' role.

Ben Affleck is letting it all, and we mean all, hang out for his new 'Gone Girl' role.

The 42-year-old actor wants to assure moviegoers that he does in fact have a full-frontal scene in the book-turned-movie. "I try to get it in every movie," Affleck told MTV.

You have director David Fincher to thank for this scene as he insisted on having Affleck in the nude. "It's ironic, because David said to me from the beginning, this is a warts and all movie. It can have no vanity. You have to see the naked underbelly of this character," Affleck added. Turns out, he meant "naked underbelly" literally.

So what exactly can we expect from this full-frontal display? "There’s some brief, ah, very brief nudity, I think," the actor said sheepishly before continuing, "The penis is in there! It’s IMAX penis! You’ve gotta pay 15 bucks to see it in 3D… it’s better in 3D."

Affleck did include a disclaimer to his private parts being displayed on the big screen. "You should know it was very cold," he quipped.

Gone Girl
-- based on the book of the same name by Gillian Flynn -- follows Nick Dunne (Affleck) as he finds himself a suspect in the disappearance of his wife, which leads to an intense media circus.

The highly anticipated film opens in theaters Oct. 3.
