James McAvoy is transforming into the bald-headed Professor X!
McAvoy sported some rather luscious locks for X-Men: First Class (2011) and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) -- but now, he’s making the transformation into the hairless, iconic look that is Professor X.
Director Bryan Singer shared the photo on Instagram of McAvoy in the midst of having his head shaved with the caption: “#Xavier reborn (in process).”
The elder version of Xavier was famously portrayed by Patrick Stewart in the previous X-Men flicks, but he is not expected to appear in X-Men: Apocalypse.
