The first full trailer for La La Land is here, and it's as whimsical as you'd imagine!
Released on Thursday, the gorgeous footage for the Damien Chazelle-directed musical showcases the undeniable chemistry between a jazz pianist who falls for an aspiring actress living in Los Angeles, portrayed by Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, respectively.
Dressed in a stunning bright blue dress, Stone (Mia) can be seen gazing at a somber Gosling (Sebastian) from afar, as he sits at a piano, clad in a navy suit after being fired from his job. Without even giving it a second thought, Gosling goes in for a steamy smooch as soon as Stone makes her way over to him.
While the previously released teasers gave fans a glimpse of Stone's beautiful singing and Gosling's fancy footwork, this is the first to feature any dialogue. We hear Stone failing her audition for an acting role, conversing with Gosling about how "strange" it is that they keep running into each other and conversing over their "exciting" hopes and dreams.
And of course, there's plenty more delightful singing and fun dancing because it is a musical, after all. See the full trailer in the video above!
Back in September, ET caught up with Stone at the Venice Film Festival, where she gushed over what it was like co-starring opposite Gosling for the third time, and how they perfected their graceful dance moves.
"It's hard for us to not laugh most of the time," Stone explained. "It is funny when you are friends with someone, because it's kind of like, 'Oh my God! What do we do?'"
"We actually learned some of our dancing from some people on Dancing With the Stars," she added. "Artem Chigvintsev, who is a ballroom dancer."
As we patiently wait for La La Land to hit theaters next month, watch the video below to see more sneak peeks from the critically acclaimed film, including a scene where Gosling literally sweeps Stone off her feet under a starlit sky.
