Lupe Fiasco Calls President Obama 'Terrorist,' Doesn't Vote

In a new interview with Shira Lazar of CBS' "What's Trending," rapper Lupe Fiasco makes some controversial comments -- including calling the president of the United States Barack Obama a terrorist, while also disclosing his belief that voting is "meaningless."

Fiasco tells Lazar, "The biggest terrorist is Obama, in the United States of America. For me, it's like I'm trying to fight the terrorism that's actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root causes of the terrorism is the stuff that the U.S. government allows to happen and the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it's easy for us because it's really just some oil, which we can really get on our own."

But when asked who he'd vote for in the 2012 presidential election, he replied, "I don't vote. I don't get involved in the political process."

When asked why he doesn't vote, he answered, "'Cause it's meaningless, to be honest." He goes on to expound, "I'm a real big believer in, if I'm going to vouch for someone, then I'm going to stand behind everything that they do." He explained, "I don't want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere."

When asked what would happen if no one voted, Fiasco replied, "Who knows, let's try it out and see what happens."

Fiasco also commented on his philanthropic endeavors, of which he said, "I think, like, charity and being socially responsible is a responsibility for everyone."
