Gavin DeGraw on His Attack: I Don't Remember Much

Gavin DeGraw was discharged from Bellevue Hospital today after seeking treatment for injuries sustained in a brutal assault early Monday. He later tweeted his appreciation for the wave of well wishes issued by his fans.

"Hi my friends," Gavin wrote. "Honestly, I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys."

The singer was attacked on a New York City street yesterday by a group of assailants and suffered a concussion, broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises.

Prior to his new tweet, the singer gave a statement saying he's cancelled his scheduled performances in Wantagh, NY on August 12 and in Mansfield, MA on August 13 as a result of his injuries.

Gavin's new album Sweeter is still scheduled to drop September 20.
