Mick Jagger got together with other top music collaborators Wednesday night to celebrate the completion of the new CD SuperHeavy, which officially dropped this week.
The joint project -- intended to bring together musicians of vastly varied genres in an attempt to create a completely different musical style -- was spearheaded by Jagger and included Eurythmics founder Dave Stewart, soul singer Joss Stone, Academy Award-winning composer A.R.Rahman and reggae star Damian "Jr Gong" Marley.
The members have been recording together in various studios around the world, with the majority of tracks laid down over three weeks in Los Angeles earlier this year. The result is the CD SuperHeavy, which was celebrated a a special release party at New York City hotspot The Double Seven.
