Lady Gaga Blocks Animated 'Lady Goo Goo'

Pop superstar Lady Gaga has successfully halted a British company from promoting a look-alike animated character called Lady Goo Goo.

Lady Goo Goo is a sunglasses-wearing blonde baby created for the Moshi Monsters site, which allows children to adopt virtual pet monsters. Another character in the game is Dustbin Beaver, based on teen heartthrob Justin Bieber.

The Lady Goo Goo character had also appeared in the online hit video The Moshi Dance and the company behind the character, Mind Candy, had planned to release a single.

But a British High Court ruling bans the company from "promoting, advertising, selling, distributing or otherwise making available to the public" any work involving Lady Goo Goo.

Mind Candy's founder Michael Acton Smith told the Associated Press he hoped the award-winning diva would have reacted differently. "It was all done in the name of fun, and we would have thought that Lady Gaga could have seen the humor behind this parody."
