Aerosmith, the top-selling American rock band in history, spoke to ET today about their upcoming tour and album following their big announcement ceremony in Los Angeles.
Fans will be glad to know that the Global Warming Tour seems to have given lead singer/American Idol judge Steven Tyler a fire to hit the road again with his band of nearly 42 years.
Steven Tyler: 'I Ride the Sexual Energy'
"I know for a fact that when I go on tour it's one of the best things I do all year," Steven admitted.
Although the tour will not affect Steven's American Idol duties, guitarist Joe Perry predicted that there could be some overlap.
"It'll be interesting to see how the 'Meet and Greets' take a different form ... as far as if they turn into mini American Idols," said Joe, wondering if fans would use the opportunity as an audition for the group.

Jack Douglas, who has worked with Alice Cooper and Cheap Trick amongst other well-known acts, functioned as a producer on the band's upcoming album, giving new life to the project.
"[We're] playing live, creating live -- all of us in the same room," said Joe, who revealed that they hadn't worked in that way since the '70s.
Aerosmith's North American Summer tour kicks off in Minneapolis on June 16. Their upcoming album is set to drop in May.
