Molly Ringwald Covers 'Breakfast Club' Theme

Molly Ringwald is releasing her first album this week, and one of the tracks on her collection of jazz covers pays homage to the 45-year-old's Brat Pack days.

The CD, Except...Sometimes, includes a sensuous cover of Simple Minds' Don't You (Forget About Me), the iconic theme for Ringwald's 1985 classic film, The Breakfast Club.

"It's the only contemporary song on the album and I think it has a special place in my heart because of my past," she explained to ET of why the '80s mega-hit was selected to join her compilation of jazz standards. "It's dedicated to (Breakfast Club director) John Hughes, so I really love that one."
