Chris Brown's assault trial postponed.
Chris Brown's trial on an assault charge has been postponed for months after prosecutors declined to grant immunity to the singer's bodyguard, whom defense lawyers consider a key witness in the case.

Brown's trial was scheduled to begin Wednesday in Washington, D.C., but prosecutors told a judge they won't grant immunity to bodyguard Christopher Hollosy, who was convicted of assault in the incident. Hollosy had said that without immunity, he wouldn't testify until he has finished appealing his case. That could take months, and Brown's trial may wait until then.
Hollosy and Brown were arrested in October after a man accused them of punching him. Hollosy told Washington police that he, not Brown, punched the man.
A judge scheduled a June status hearing in Brown's case. Brown is in custody as a result of a California case so U.S. Marshals will return him there.
