Following the incident, Soboroff decided to auction off his broken mobile to raise money for underprivileged youths so they can have a chance to serve in the LAPD's cadet program.
According to the Los Angeles Times, during a police commission meeting on Tuesday, Soboroff announced that Rihanna had donated $25,000 to the Los Angeles Police Foundation.
