Jessie J is on top of the iTunes charts with her single 'Bang Bang,' featuring Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande -- a difficult group to wrangle -- and she revealed to Radio.com how the collaboration all came about.

The song was produced by Max Martin (the genius behind Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way," Britney Spears' "Oops...I Did It Again," Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and countless more), who had a different idea for the tune.

"Basically, Max's idea was to almost create a girl band as opposed to featuring [girls], being a moment of empowering women and a song that gets you on your feet," said Jessie. "I started it first, then Ariana jumped on and then Nicki jumped on. It kind of became what it is right now: a moment, a party."

Jessie went on to spill details about the upcoming music video, which she shot in Los Angeles soon after the interview.

"The video is going to be lots of dancers, lots of performance, lots of leg...Me, Nicki and Ariana are all going to be there," Jessie said. "Two days [of] sunshine, oil spray and looking hot. Like, actually hot. Like just heat rash probably with my luck."

"Bang Bang" is available now.
