Sia is saying she's sorry after many found the video for her song "Elastic Heart" to be offensive.

The music video shows a 28-year-old Shia LaBeouf -- wearing nothing but nude shorts -- performing a dance-fight with 12-year-old Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler, who's wearing a dirty, nude leotard. The dance gets pretty physical as a shirtless LaBeouf fights Ziegler in attempt to free himself from a cage.

Following the video's premiere on Wednesday, Twitter and Facebook exploded with comments claiming the video was inappropriate given the 16-year age difference of the two stars. "@Sia this is a DISGUSTING video smacks of child molestation #pervert #unacceptable #childabuse @maddieziegler Explain please!" one fan tweeted.

"I anticipated some 'pedophelia!!!' Cries for this video," Sia, who co-directed the visuals with Daniel Askill, tweeted. "All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play."

Further explaining the video, she said LaBeouf and Ziegler represent "two warring 'sia' self states."

"I apologize to those who feel triggered by #ElasticHeart," Sia later went on to tweet. "My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody."
