Wedding Crashers! Maroon 5 Surprises Brides and Grooms In 'Sugar' Video
By Jackie Willis
Step aside Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. There's some new, real-life wedding crashers in town.
The men from Maroon 5 surprise several brides and grooms by performing on their big days in the new music video for "Sugar," which was directed by David Dobkin, the same man who helmed the 2005 hit comedy, Wedding Crashers.
Adam Levine and the band seem to just stroll on into these weddings without being noticed -- that is until a huge curtain is pulled down revealing them on stage. The shock and awe from the wedding parties seems sincere, but did they really not know Maroon 5 would be performing on their special day?
Levine told ET's Kevin Frazier that it was "stressful to arrange all of it" but the brides and grooms were certainly shocked that the band had crashed their weddings. "It was a lot of fun. It felt good to kind of surprise these people and make them happy," the Maroon 5 frontman said. "Happy that they liked our band too. It would have been a total disaster [if not]."
Maroon 5's latest album V debuted on Sept. 2, 2014, and also features their hit singles "Animals," "It Was Always You" and "Maps."
