Pete Wentz and Gerard Way joined forces this week, and their Twitter selfie has us begging for a collaboration!

The former My Chemical Romance front man posted this photo on Tuesday, dubbing the pic "a legends of emo selfie." But alas, the shot was captured in a hotel, not a recording studio. The duo was on-hand for the launch of the new Guitar Hero Live game, expected out this Fall, which will feature the music of both MCR and Fall Out Boy.

Way had teased the event with an Instagram video on Monday, but was quick to crush any MCR reunion hopes. The group disbanded in 2013 and released a greatest hits collection last year.

"I'm no false hope machine, so know that tomorrow is fun and exciting for me and Pete and the boys. But no band is getting back together," he wrote.

My Chemical Romance isn't the only blast from the past to be featured on the new Guitar Hero: Green Day is also on-board, as are The Killers, Skrillex, The War On Drugs, Pierce The Veil and Blitz Kids.

And in case you were wondering if "emo" was still relevant: Jeopardy thinks it is!
