Lady Gaga was honored at the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony on Thursday night, but it was the audience members who were the real winners. They got to witness Mother Monster cover 4 Non Blondes' "What's Up."
Gaga sang the karaoke favorite in honor of Linda Perry, who was also recognized that evening. This isn't the first time Gaga has covered the song, as she most recently performed the track in November 2014 during a concert in Vienna.

Other honorees at the ceremony included Bobby Braddock, Willie Dixon, Robert Hunter, Jerry Garcia, Cyndi Lauper, Van Morrison, John LoFrumento, Nate Ruess and Toby Keith, who received a special performance by surprise guest Stephen Colbert.
The new host of CBS' The Late Show sang Keith's "Ain't As Good As I Once Was," sharing that Keith inspired him during his first appearance on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report when he was still a rookie host.

"He was leaving out the stage door and I was going to the rewrite room. This was very early on in my show and he didn't know what he was in for, I guess," Colbert said. "He turned around to me and he said, 'Hey man, you do a great job -- whatever the f*** it is you do.'"
