Get well soon, Miranda!

Miranda Lambert was forced to cancel a major performance at the Calgary Stampede on Thursday as she battles "serious inflammation of her vocal cords," according to a statement on her website.

"I can't believe this is happening," the singer posted on Facebook. "Thanks for all your posts and well wishes, I promise I will do everything to get better quickly!"

In her official statement, Lambert also promised to return to Calgary, Alberta, "just as soon as I can."

The news comes two weeks after Lambert unveiled a new lyric video for her next single, "Smokin' and Drinkin'." (Both of which are things she should probably cut back on if she wants those vocal cords to heal up!)

NEWS: Miranda Lambert Is ALWAYS the Ultimate Badass

Lambert is hardly the only superstar to suffer health issues with her voice this year. Meghan Trainor and Sam Smith both recently postponed a series of shows to undergo surgery on their vocal cords.
