Ed Sheeran Reveals the Painful Reason He Needs to Undergo Surgery in January
By Zach Seemayer
It looks like Ed Sheeran is going to kick off the new year with some surgery.
The "Thinking Out Loud" singer revealed that he's going to have to get an operation to fix a busted eardrum which he suffered after jumping off a boat and damaging his ear while on vacation in Spain earlier this year.
"I have to have an operation in January on my ear because I stupidly jumped off a yacht really high up and smashed it," Sheeran explained to Australia's Nova radio.
The surgery and subsequent recuperation period will mean Sheeran is going to take a temporary break from performing, which the singer has earned after his lengthy 179-date x Tour, which concludes Dec. 12 with a concert at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.
Hopefully he won't forget the sweet moves he learned for his "Thinking Out Loud" music video during his short hiatus! Check out the video below to hear how Sheeran learned how to dance like a pro.
