Raven-Symone Releases First New Music in Eight Years -- Listen to the Songs

It's been awhile!

New Raven-Symone music has been a long time coming!

The View co-host released her first new music in over eight years to Soundcloud over the weekend, sharing on Twitter, "It's been a long time comin! Hope you all enjoy!"

The 30-year-old singer dropped two new tracks. She describes the first, "Cruise Control," as "a soft melodic transparent story of sex and speed filled with ambient sounds and undertones of sexual frustration."

Of the other, a lingering melancholy tune dubbed "Sarafina," Raven-Symone describes: "'Tis' Dusk when the war starts' Eerie sounds of melodic, fantasy vocals describing a world that can only be named Sarafina..."

Raven-Symone previously released two platinum records with her Disney group, The Cheetah Girls, and was heavily featured on the That's So Raven and That's So Raven, Too! soundtracks, the former having been certified gold by the RIAA.

Her eponymous last record, Raven-Symone, came out in 2008.

Meanwhile, Raven-Symone opened up on the third season of It Got Better -- which launched Tuesday on L/Studio, Lexus' digital content channel -- about life as a child star, and how stifling her sexuality affected her growing up.

"I never thought I would come out because my personal life didn't matter," she said in ET's exclusive sneak preview. "It was only what was supposed to be sold as the Raven-Symone brand."

She went onto admit that, over time, "That eats at your soul."
