The celebration of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding didn't stop after the ceremony was over, as there were other parties hosted throughout the day, the first being a luncheon reception held by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. The second was an evening reception hosted by William's father, Prince Charles.

British TV personality and NBC correspondent, Ben Fogle told Us Magazine that the Queen's Luncheon was "extraordinary with such a mix of the great and the good. There were some very funny and moving speeches from the groom, Prince William, and from his father, Prince Charles. And it was a very relaxed atmosphere with everyone mingling."

Singer Ellie Goulding performed at the evening party which was hosted by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. The first song she performed was a cover of Sir Elton John's "Your Song," which served as a backdrop for the newlyweds' first dance. Goulding told Us Magazine that "The atmosphere was incredible. It is a night I'll never forget."

According to Us Magazine, another guest of the evening party said that Prince Harry thanked Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, and Queen Elizabeth during his speech at the reception. He also paid tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana.

Right before the party ended, guests danced to the last song of the evening: "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon.

The final party of the busy day wrapped around 2am local time and as the attendees left the palace grounds, they were treated to a final fireworks show before the end to a long day of celebration came to an end.
