Report: Paul McCartney Gets Engaged to Nancy Shevell

Beatles legend Paul McCartney is engaged to be married to his girlfriend Nancy Shevell.

The engagement of McCartney, 68, and New York businesswoman Shevell, 51, involved "a ring and all," a source close to Shevell tells People.com.

It will be the singer's third marriage. McCartney married his first wife Linda in 1969 and they remained together until she died of cancer in 1998. He wed Heather Mills in 2002, and that relationship ended in a messy divorce in 2008.

The couple was spotted together earlier this week at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute gala in New York.
