Angelina Jolie Hopes to Raise 'Writers'

Angelina Jolie Hopes to Raise 'Writers'

ET caught up with Angelina Jolie and Jack Black at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival in France, as the two promoted their highly anticipated animated film 'Kung Fu Panda 2,' out May 26.

Angelina shares that her six kids were a big factor in why she decided to do the sequel to the highly successful 'Kung Fu Panda,' particularly her daughters.

"My kids love the first one so it was easy to say yes and try it another time," Angelina says about deciding to reprise her role as South China panda "Tigress." "The kids love kung fu. Two of my children are from Asia so they're very proud of the film in general. But my girls also really like having a tough girl. It's not about being a tough girl, Tigress just happens to be quite a strong woman so they like her dolls and they like her ... it just makes me that much more confident and [makes me] want to do it."

She also shares that she hopes her children will one day become writers, instead of following in the footsteps of their superstar parents. When asked if her children are already showing signs of wanting to be in the business, she says, "I don't think so yet, no...but it could just be wishful thinking." "I think I'm trying to encourage some writers if that makes any sense. Adventurers and writers is what I'm going for...but I'll probably end up with six actors," she says with a smile.
