False Alarm: Lindsay Lohan Suffers Bracelet Malfunction

Authorities paid a visit to Lindsay Lohan earlier this week when her electronic monitoring bracelet went off.

The device was triggered Monday due to a possible malfunction so a representative from the monitoring company was dispatched to check on the star, who was found at her Venice, CA home, the Associated Press reports.

Attorney Shawn Holley is quoted as saying that her client's monitoring bracelet was replaced on Tuesday. Lohan is currently serving about 35 days of house arrest for violating
her probation by taking a necklace from a jewelry store without
permission.

The actress is only allowed to leave her home for medical visits or for probation appointments. She can receive visitors, but is not permitted to leave the "interior premises" of the home and if she does, the ankle bracelet is triggered.
