The separation of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver has led to widespread speculation that the breakup would result in one of the biggest celebrity divorces  in history. Investigative journalist Ian Halperin reveals to ET that a close friend of Maria tells him a divorce agreement is all but a done deal.

Halperin -- author of The Governator: From Muscle Beach to His Quest for the White House, the Improbable Rise of Arnold Schwarzenegger -- said that although the high-powered divorce negotiations started off frosty, they gradually grew amicable.

According to Halperin, Arnold was "extremely conciliatory" in the divorce talks and agreed to give Maria "everything she's wanted and more." "The divorce agreement is going to clearly divide the assets and is going to give Maria Shriver a bit extra because of all the pain she's gone through," the author adds.
