Buzz Makers: Royals Wed & 'Bachelorette' Engaged

In Buzz Makers this week, Zara Phillips tied the knot, Bachelorette Ashley Hebert finally found her man, Miley got a new tattoo, Sandra Bullock made a surprise appearance, and President Barack Obama turned the big 5-0.

Last Saturday, Zara Phillips, Prince William and Harry's cousin, married English rugby player Mike Tindall in Edinburgh, Scotland in a private family affair. The wedding took place at Canongate Kirk in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh. Phillips' mother Princess Anne was in attendance along with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry.

The Bachelorette's Ashley Hebert was officially taken off the market by contestant J.P. The season finale wasn't without its trials and tribulations though. Ashley's opinionated older sister cast her doubts over her chemistry with J.P., even insinuating that Brad Womack was a better match. Although desperately seeking confirmation from her family, Ashley went with her own gut feeling to accept J.P.'s proposal and reject Ben's.

Sandra Bullock dropped jaws with a surprise appearance to The Proposal co-star Ryan Reynolds' Los Angeles premiere of The Change-Up. Sandra had been flying low for the past year, and her arrival incited a roar of excited screams from fans.

On Friday, singer/actress Miley Cyrus tweeted a picture of a newly inked equal sign on her ring finger. "All love is equal," Miley wrote, possibly as a sign of support for gay marriage.

US President Barack Obama turned 50 this week. The POTUS celebrated his birthday at a party fundraiser in Chicago where Herbie Hancock, OK Go and Jennifer Hudson performed.
