Two couples were chosen from more than one thousand who entered the Royal Aloha Wedding contest, and earlier this month the lucky brides and grooms received the surprise of a lifetime.
"It's a privilege," Ireland tells ET of the project. "When it comes to our military, 'thank you' just does not feel adequate. These are true heroes, and to be able to do something special for them, it is amazing."
The contest's grand prize winners April Van Loan, an air force veteran, and James Binari, an Air Force Staff Sergeant, said their "I do's" in style, scoring Kathy as their personal wedding planner compliments of Kathy Ireland Worldwide.
Runner-ups, Joanne Gallagher and Glenn Smith renewed their vows after five years of marriage, completely expense-free. The happy event was a dream come true for the couple who recently discovered the groom has terminal cancer.
