Muhammad Ali Honored for 'Changing Lives'
Boxing legend and humanitarian Muhammad Ali was honored for his charitable efforts at the Life Changing Lives Gala held on September 11.
As tough as Ali was in the ring, he evidently shows a much softer side to his daughters, who were present at the event.
"We're fans like the world," said Ali's daughter Maryum. "We love our dad. He's like our teddy bear."
While Ali's kids drew inspiration from their father, Dancing with the Stars pro Katrina Smirnoff drew from her dancing partner, military veteran J.R. Martinez.
"He is my hero right now," Karina admitted.
Life Changing Lives raised nearly $1 million at the gala to go towards several worthy organizations including Wounded Warrior Project, The Joe Foss Institute, Pretend City Children's Museum and Chapman University.
