In this week's top stories Apple's Steve Jobs passes away, Gene Simmons marries his longtime girlfriend Shannon Tweed, The Voice judge and singer Blake Shelton covers the classic track Footloose and The X Factor's Steve Jones storms off the set of Piers Morgan Tonight.

On Wednesday, the world was stunned when Apple confirmed that Steve Jobs had passed away at the age of 56 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Apple released a statement on their website regarding Jobs' passing, saying "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an aspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."

Many celebrities and other notables in technology poured out praise of Jobs in memory of his contributions to technology, most notably the iPhone, iPod and iPad, all of which have become integral pieces of everyday technology.

KISS rocker Gene Simmons married Shannon Tweed last Saturday after being together for 28 years. Simmons spoke to ET about why he decided to finally settle down saying,  "It is time for me to grow up. I'm 62. I've been doing a lot of wacky stuff for an awfully long time...and there's nobody I've ever said 'I love you' to. I even find it difficult to say 'I love you' to my mother. But I love Shannon with all my heart and all my soul, and always will."

The couple's reception didn't disappoint either as the couple's children both took to the stage to perform and celebrate their parents' wedding. Their son Nick sang a cover of Roadhouse Blues by The Doors and their daughter Stella sang the Etta James classic At Last.

Attendees of the party included Hugh Hefner, Dog the Bounty Hunter and Rob Zombie.

Country music star, and judge on The Voice, Blake Shelton covered Kenny Loggins' classic song Footloose for the upcoming remake of the film and ET was on set for the music video shoot.

Footloose
is in theaters on October 14, 2011.

Piers Morgan already had trouble before on his show with Christine O’Donnell when she stormed off the set during an interview, but did Morgan cross that line again this week?

The X Factor
host Steve Jones appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight on Friday and stormed off set again during the interview with Morgan, except this time it was staged as Jones joked with Morgan about always wanting to storm off the set of an interview. Jones walked off set after Morgan's next question as the two held back laughter.
