Julianne Hough on 'Emotional' Return to 'DWTS'

Julianne Hough looked stunning as usual at Wednesday night's New York premiere of Footloose, where the 23-year-old rocked a sophisticated black Rachel Zoe tuxedo dress.

"I thought I would pull out my Rachel Zoe and go a little New York for you guys tonight," Julianne joked.

All kidding aside, Julianne talked to ET about her emotional return to Tuesday night's Dancing with the Stars, where she danced with both her Footloose co-star Kenny Wormald and her brother, DWTS dancer Derek Hough.

"It was emotional," Julianne says. "This was a dream of mine for a very long time but to be back there where it all began was pretty crazy and surreal. I'm very very fortunate that I had the experience that I've had from the show, and the fans have followed me from day one, so I've been really really lucky."

Wormald echoed the sentiment that their buzzed-about appearance on the hit ABC show was particularly meaningful.

"Oh man, I knew what it represented," he told ET. "It represented more than just your average dance performance on the show ... it was Footloose, also her big comeback. We actually finally got to see it this morning and I thought it was awesome, and we represented everything really well."

The Cinema Society hosted the premiere after-party at Catch Rooftop, where Hough and Wormald spent the evening mingling with guests including Stephen Baldwin, Russell Simmons, Kelly Bensimon and Peter Facinelli.

Footloose hits theatres this Friday, October 14.
