Charges Against Gomez' Alleged Stalker Dismissed
Thomas Brodnicki, the man alleged to present a threat to Selena Gomez' safety, has had his stalking charge dismissed.
According to court documents obtained by ET, the judge dismissed the charge due to insufficiency of evidence.
While it seems Brodnicki is now a free man, there is still a restraining order in place that requires him to stay away from Gomez.
In October, Gomez obtained the restraining order at the suggestion of a detective for the L.A. Police Department's Threat Management Unit. The detective made the suggestion after Brodnicki reportedly admitted to a mental health professional that he "entertained thoughts of killing Ms. Gomez."
Selena's mother, step-father and assistant are also protected under the order.
