Former Miss USA Rima Fakih Arrested on DUI Charge

Former Miss USA Rima Fakih was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of drunken driving.

Police arrested Fakih, 26, early Saturday in the Detroit neighborhood of Highland Park and charged her with misdemeanor drunken driving.

Fakih's lawyer Doraid Elder told the Associated Press the beauty queen was "very saddened and very apologetic for the situation that she is in right now."

Fakih, who was born in Lebanon, became the first Arab American to win the Miss USA Pageant in May 2010. Her reign ended in June of this year.
