The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen with Prince Harry at the 2011 Sun Military Awards, an event honoring British forces. Both Prince William and Prince Harry wore classic tuxedos while Kate Middleton wowed in a black velvet A-line gown. The strapless number by Alexander McQueen featured a heart-shaped collar that framed a dazzling diamond estate necklace said to be a wedding gift.

In addition to the youngest members of British royalty, celebrity soccer star and fellow Brit David Beckham was in attendance with his heirs, sons Romeo and Brooklyn. Wife Victoria, son Cruz, and their newest addition, daughter Harper, did not come with. The "Night of Heroes" was held at the Imperial War Museum in London. The awards given out, called Millies, include the Life Saver Award, Most Outstanding Soldier, and Overcoming Adversity, among others. The ceremony was created by His Royal Highness Prince Charles and is hosted by The Sun newspaper.
