Mary Hart Does Double Duty at PSIFF

Former Entertainment Tonight host Mary Hart was back to what she does best at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday -- interviewing Hollywood's biggest stars.

George Clooney was the man of the hour and perhaps the season, as Tinseltown shifts into its annual term for kudos. The multi-hyphenate star chatted with Mary about his feelings concerning this upcoming award season with two films up for prizes.

"They're two completely different things," George said about his two films The Ides of March and The Descendants. "You just try to do projects that you're pleased with ... because most of the things you do, in general, don't find an audience. It's always exciting and you're happy when they do, so I'm having a good year."

The Oscar winner's pal Brad Pitt showed up at the gala hobbled from a fall while carrying his child. Seeing that Brad was OK, George planned to have a little fun with his ailment.

"I was backstage looking for two canes. I was going to come out with two canes," joked George, the constant prankster. "But I couldn't find a cane or a walker or anything."

Professional jokester Patton Oswalt stars alongside Charlize Theron in the new comedy Young Adult, but Mary learned that on the set Patton took a back seat to Charlize in the comedy department.

"Charlize was making way more jokes than me," Patton with a chuckle. "[Charlize was] way more relaxed and goofy than I was."

In addition to reuniting with ET to interview the stars, Mary Hart also hosted the PSIFF.
