Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stuck close to one another at last night's New York Film Critics Circle Awards, where Pitt took home the best actor award for his roles in Moneyball and Tree of Life.

Though the superstar couple breezed past the red carpet, Pitt did reveal what he's the most proud of about his critically acclaimed films -- that he "got them done" in the first place.

ET also caught up with his Tree of Life co-star Jessica Chastain, who was recognized as Best Supporting Actress for an impressive three films, including The Help and Take Shelter.

"It's surprising and shocking, and I'm surprised to be here even right now," Chastain said.

The New York Film Critics Circle Awards is particularly meaningful to the 30-year-old actress, who studied at Julliard.

"It means a lot to me because, you know, I studied at Julliard and I moved here to this big city and it kind of opened my world to film and different kinds of art. And to be recognized by this group, it really is full circle, and it's really encouraging."
