Chris Brown was given five years of probation following his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. Today, ET has obtained court documents indicating that his probation could be ending early.

A probation report filed today states that Brown has made "great strides as it pertains to his probation supervision."

In light of this, Brown's probation officer goes on to offer the opinion that "Brown appears eligible to be released from further supervision."

The report reveals that Brown has completed 701 hours of "community labor," has "remained truthful and cooperative and has not tested positive for any illicit substances."

The singer is scheduled to perform at the Grammys this Sunday, February 12, where Rihanna is also expected to hit the stage.

Rihanna still has a restraining order in place against Brown, but the 50-yard restriction is reduced to just 10 yards while they're at a music event.
