On a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Show which airs Friday, May 4th, the proud papa couldn't help but spill the adorable details of his new bundle of joy who he says has already begun to tackle the English language.

"He's smiling and talking a little bit. It's incredible," Downey gushes. "I go, 'What are we doing? What's happening?' He goes '(Downey makes gibberish noise)' and 'I go, really?' Kind of like a bad date with somebody who is really small."

When told by Ellen that his "bad date" doesn't sound so fun, Downey replies that he loves every minute of it.

"It's great," he laughs. "In this instance it is a great date."
