The Canadian actress chosen to play Casey Anthony in a Lifetime movie about the high-publicity case says she's looking forward to playing the role, but admits the experience will also be "nerve-wracking."

Deveaux added: "It's nerve-wracking to combat such a controversial issue as well, the outpouring of negativity for Casey Anthony is unlike anything we've seen in the media in years."

Anthony has been in hiding since being acquitted in July 2011 of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008.

"I'm not going to make her into anything she is not," Deveaux said about playing the controversial figure. "The fact of it, beyond any verdicts in court, is that she was someone struggling through what was undoubtedly the most difficult trial of a lifetime."

The Lifetime movie -- tentatively titled Prosecuting Casey Anthony, will also star Rob Lowe as prosecutor Jeff Ashton.
