George Braunstein, Sage's friend and lawyer for 15 years, tells ET that Sage had been planning on getting married this weekend in Las Vegas, but that he wasn't engaged, it was meant to be a spontaneous event.

Braunstein asserts that he can't remember ever seeing Sage drink alcohol, let alone do drugs. (Braunstein also told People magazine that reports of alcohol bottles found in the room with Sage are wrong -- he said they were just soda bottles.)

On a poignant note, George said Sage told him that he always dreamed of being in at least one great film, like his dad.

Sage was found dead at his Los Angeles home on Friday. An autopsy commenced Sunday morning, with results to be deferred pending toxicology results, which Braunstein said could be available by Wednesday.
