In what could be the year's most anticipated interview, Robert Pattinson refused the chance to bad mouth Kristen Stewart for her admitted two-timing with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

The actor sat down with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, looking tense and avoiding making any direct references to the recent scandal.

Pattinson managed to stay playful, partaking in Jon's breakup ice cream, and admitting that the situation is going to lead him to make one major change.

"My biggest problem is I'm cheap and I didn't hire a publicist," Pattinson said, explaining that a publicist would've been able to handle the media better. "I'm going to hire a publicist."

Kristen Stewart issued an apology on July 25, saying, "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

"Boy, you are better off," Jon joked on Monday. "Kick her to the curb."

Pattinson's Daily Show interview was one of two appearances made on Monday -- the other being the Cosmopolis New York City premiere.
