Bialik was behind the wheel of her vehicle during the "nearly head-on collision" with a car carrying three male tourists from Chile, says LAPD Officer Karen Rayner.
Officials tell ET that one ambulance was called to the scene before noon on Wednesday at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and La Brea Ave.

The Emmy-nominated actress was later hospitalized with "severe lacerations to her right hand and thumb." The three men complained of minor injuries, but declined to go to the hospital.
A representative close to the star tells ET she is "doing fine" and thanks everyone for their concern. Bialik is expected return to the The Big Bang Theory set tomorrow.
The actress took to Twitter hours later (with the help of her husband) to assure her fans that, contrary to reports, she is "in pain but will keep all my fingers."
