Inside Carly Rae Jepsen's First High-Fashion Shoot

Carly Rae Jepsen transforms from fun and flirty songstress into sexy covergirl for the latest issue of Canada's FASHION magazine.

The singer is the face of their October Issue, out September 10, and ETCanada was there as Carly nervously shimmied in and out of gorgeous gowns for the super-glam shoot. While no doubt stunning, the 26-year-old admits modeling wasn't necessarily an aspect of her career she anticipated. In fact, it "terrified" her at first.

"I thought it was very hard and I didn't know what to do with my hands," she confides to correspondent Erin Cebula. But, like riding a bike, Carly says she quickly got the hang it.

"I still don't totally know what to do with my hands, but I'm enjoying it a lot more," she laughs. "It's becoming sort of like a challenge to try to perfect it and get a little bit better. Fashion is fun, so what girl doesn't like to play a round of dress up?"

Carly will release her first studio LP, Kiss, on September 18 in the US following a whirlwind year of success with her catchy hit, Call Me Maybe-- a feat she humbly credits to "luck."

"Everyday I wake up and I kind of can't believe that this is my life and something I'm getting to experience," she says. "I'm a very lucky girl."
