Kelly Rutherford Breaks Down on 'The View'

Melrose Place and Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford has been locked in an international custody battle with her ex-husband Daniel Giersch over their two kids Hermes, 5, and Helena, 3, and broke down during her appearance on The View today when discussing a Los Angeles judge's ruling that the two would have joint custody -- meaning that her kids (born and raised in the U.S.) would have to spend six months of the year with their father in France, since he couldn't visit them in the U.S. due to his visa being revoked after accusations of fraud and dealing drugs and weapons.

"I last saw them [her two kids, who are currently in France] a week ago," Rutherford said in tears. " ... It's just been crazy."

She also got teary-eyed when talking about her son Hermes.

"My son [has been] kind of been brainwashed that where he is is so much better, but he always says, 'Mama I love you so much, you're in my heart, I love you Mama.' ... He'll be six this month," she said, clearly getting emotional.
